That brings the cumulative total of Corks 96FM Giving for Living Radiothon to just over 6.9 million euro for Cancer Services in Cork.
The return of Giving for Living Radiothon, Ireland’s largest local radio fundraiser, took place on May 22nd - 24th, 2025 for its 17th year.
Listeners across Cork were invited to get involved in any way they could. Whether it was by organising a Coffee Break, holding a Jersey Day, or simply donating online, with every action helping to support people in Cork facing cancer.
All funds raised during the three-day broadcast will go directly to five Cork-based charities that make daily differences in the lives of cancer patients and their families:
- Breakthrough Cancer Research
- Cork ARC Cancer Support House
- Mercy University Hospital Foundation
- Cork University Hospital Charity
- Marymount University Hospital & Hospice
Group Station Director of Cork's 96FM & C103, Kieran McGeary says "The Cork's 96FM Giving for Living Radiothon is well and truly established as the biggest charity fundraising initiative on local radio in Ireland. IIt highlights the strength of the bond between our brand and it's listeners and with the five local charity partners. I'm really proud of what Radiothon has achieved to date and would like to thank everyone who makes this event possible."
